Hello, James,

How are you? My name is CK and I am a UC Presidential Fellow. I was quite intrigued about the profitability of "green" investments, not to mention how they are transforming the way our businesses are run.

This is why I joined force with the organizers of "Opportunity Green" to explore the opportunities in this shifting trend: What are the needs? What kind of innovation, models, and delivery methods are there? How do we quantify the opportunity and in what time frame do we quantify it? Your blog entry touched upon these questions.

You are obviously well versed in this area. Do you have any suggestions for us to put together a conference that will both inspire and inform the attendees? I'd appreciate your input very much.

CK,

I think green investments represent a serious and permanent development in the investing world. Even the entire Goldman Sachs corporation is run on a green basis today - many people don't realize that.

In fact, I just returned from an investing conference in Jackson Hole Wyoming where this very topic was discussed heavily among some of the leading equity analysts in the country.

My suggestions for your conference would be to get at least one "name" keynote speaker who could help in your marketing/publicity efforts... and provide attendees with specific information/research/benefits at the conference.

That's what people really want to know - how can they invest soundly and sanely in this world, while not comprimising their returns.

Hope this helps! Good luck with the conference.
